Carved Pumpkin Distress Oxide Ink Pad by Tim Holtz for Ranger is part of the new release, set 3, of Oxides, released January 2018. Oxide ink combines dye and pigment ink in one ink pad, for a whole new take on Distress and a whole new range of creative options for you!
Here's the science bit! The inks are water-reactive, as is the case with the original Distress Ink Pads, but, when these new Distress Oxide inks come into contact with water, you get a whole new effect from the reaction due to the pigment - you get a bleached out, or oxidised, appearance, a very chalky looking, matte finish. This reaction creates a whole different shade in your Distress Inks, making for exciting times in your own creative lab as you experiment and discover the unlimited possibilities! And because of the pigment content, these new Distress Oxide inks can be used on black and kraft cardstock with amazing results!
These inks can be layered with other products in the Distress range for endless creative fun!
